Chief Apostle Roderick O. Davenport, Sr. is an Apostolic Educator and a Counselor, who is a catalyst for positive change through his dedication to teaching the scriptures. Chief Apostle Davenport received his Bachelor of Arts-Theology degree from The New Life Institute. He continued his education by completing his Master of Arts, with an emphasis in Christian Counseling, at The New Life Institute. He received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Theology, from The International Bible Institute and School of the Great Commission. In 2011, under the leadership of the great Bishop Liston Page Sr., he was selected as the Overseer of the South Carolina Diocese of Greater Highway Deliverance Ministries, Inc. Consecrated and designated as the Presiding Bishop of the South Carolina Diocese in 2015. In 2017, God sent affirmation and Dr. Roderick O. Davenport was elevated to the office of Apostle. In 2018, Chief Apostle Roderick O. Davenport, Sr., founded Global Empowerment Fellowship, Inc, (GEFI) where he serves as Presiding Prelate. GEFI is rapidly growing and currently spans from SC,AR, GA, FL, LA, NC, and TX. He has also been featured on the NOW Network for 2 years, where he ministered internationally.Simultaneously, he is also the Chief Apostle of Empowerment Worship Center Interntaional (EWCI) Columbia, Augusta, and Orangeburg campuses. At EWCI, Apostle Davenport has launched programs such as Bridge the Gap, Power Up Girls, and Global Impact Music Group. Bridge the Gap and Power Up Girls are programs aiming to reintroduce young men and women into society, empowering them with the skillset necessary to engage as productive individuals.  The ultimate goals of the above programs are to build positive relationships, providing emotional support in a structured environment.He met his wife Murielyn W. Davenport while attending service at a neighborhood church. In 1989, the two were married. From this union, they were blessed with 4 children and 2 grandchildren. Pastor Murielyn W. Davenport is a trained minister of the Gospel. Having received the Lord and the infilling of the Holy Spirit in her late teens, Pastor Davenport has been committed to serving the Lord faithfully in ministry for over 30 years. Pastor Davenport has a passion for ministering to the needs of women and children. She is currently the leader over the Royal Sisters of EWCI.
